Last week was an exciting week at the farm, with a lot of activity on site. Wahlert High School hosted a “Soar-On” day, which included an afternoon of service. We were fortunate enough to receive 2 hours of help by 30 high school freshmen, who had fun while helping on the farm. The Wahlet Eagles helped with some spring cleanup (weeding, removing brush) and got a good start on bed prep for our growing season (removing tarps, broadforking/stringing beds, etc.... )
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Wahlert Eagles, our farm was not only revitalized but infused with a renewed sense of purpose and community spirit. Here's to many more fruitful collaborations in the future!
Stay tuned later this week to hear about some other great things that we have coming to the farm. We are very excited to welcome St. Columbkille's 5th grade students this Thursday, along with the Master Foodie group, for some fun & learning at the farm.
